Session 5: Clay Along with Me!

Join me online for a month-long course in air-dry clay. During the hour-long sessions we will make projects like bowls, cups, coil pots, sculptures, clay beads, masks and much, much more! We will look at the work of clay artists from around the world, taking inspiration from their styles and techniques. We will also learn about surface decoration using texture and acrylic painting to embellish and finish the works.

Dates: July 13–August 7
Time: 1:00–2:00pm Pacific Time; Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Ages: 6–11 year olds

Materials:

• Air Dry Clay White (at least 2 packs)
• Air Dry Clay Terracotta ( at least 2 packs)
• Sculpting tools
• Jewelry elastic
• Acrylic paints
• Brushes
• Cardboard or cutting board to work on
• Paper bowl to use as a form
• Cup of water
• Newspaper
• Tape
